Description
The “warrior” gene is a specific variant of the MAOA gene, named after its association with aggressive behavior. This gene encodes the monoamine oxidase A enzyme, which is responsible for breaking down neurotransmitters that act as messengers between the brain and other parts of the body.
Individuals carrying the “warrior” gene have reduced levels of the monoamine oxidase A enzyme, which disrupts the normal breakdown of neurotransmitters. This accumulation of neurotransmitters has been linked to a higher likelihood of exhibiting aggressive and antisocial behavior.
On a positive note, the “warrior” gene has also been associated with better business acumen. By taking a simple DNA test through a mouth swab, one can conclusively determine whether they possess the “warrior” gene. The results of this test are kept confidential and private.

Technical Info
The MAOA gene is situated on the X-chromosome. As men possess only one X chromosome, they inherit only one version of the gene. If a male inherits the “warrior” gene, it is more likely to affect them.
In contrast, females inherit two X chromosomes, allowing them to inherit two different versions of the gene. Therefore, even if a woman inherits one copy of the “warrior” gene, she is less likely to be impacted because she also carries one normal version of the MAOA gene.
This DNA test analyzes the number of repeats present in the regulatory region of the MAOA gene. There are five variants with different numbers of repeats, which are 2, 3, 3.5, 4, and 5.
